I wanted to give a shout out to my husband Tim who has been such a source of strength and encouragement during this long journey with my parents, and now with my mom. He has never complained about all the times I have been called away from my family to go to the hospital or nursing home. He has stayed with M and S and taken care of them when I couldn’t be there. He has never said he resented my parents for taking so much of my time. Instead, he has told me he was proud of me for the example I have set for our children in honoring and respecting my parents. I am beyond grateful for his understanding when I haven’t gotten much homeschooling done or am exhausted. My only goal these last few days is to keep the laundry up, get a meal on the table every night and help Joshua with his SAT prep. Oh, and keep from falling apart from the stress and responsibility. With Tim’s help I am managing to prioritize and remember this is a different season in my life that will pass all too soon. I am so grateful to God for my partner and friend.
