For those of you ladies going to Orlando, and even those who are not, I’m helping teach a session on homeschooling. If you could ask any question or questions about homeschooling what would you ask? What is it that keeps you schooling at home or keeps you away from it? I can only tell you based on my experiences and beliefs but I’ve been at this for 17 years so I should know something!

  1. Corey says:

I would want to know: technical aspects (how do you do it legally, etc), how do you choose a curriculum, how do you not kill your RADlet, how do you deal with a kid when they flat out refuse to do work, how do you deal with family that thinks you are isolating the child, how do you “socialize” the child (HA!)

Corey hit the nail on the head. I also want to know how to get them to listen and participate in devotion time and not give the stupid answers or I don’t know. What do you do when they flat our refuse. What about the testing that they have to do every year when they don’t do school during the year. Of course we could talk about all this stuff on the plane. You can also use me as your sound board on the plane to help you prepare for your class. LOve ya,

  3. Hm, none of that since we already do. But anything about motivation (which our kids have ZERO no matter what). We roadschool, so they absorb much, but how to get RADicals to even care would be well, my dream I guess.
I’m signing up for this one if it’s not too late! I was thinking well, we have that covered, but then I realized it’s by trauma mamas so I may actually learn much! 🙂
