Does it ever get any easier?
Saying goodbye?

I thought it was hard when we left our son at college the first time.

We had a great Labor Day weekend.

And had to say goodbye again.

I cried when he got in his sister’s car for the trip home.

I cried after we had lunch.

I cried when he got in his own car to drive back to school.

Does it ever get any easier?

Hi! Thanks for coming by my blog last night to take a peek at my scraproom!! We ARE very similar! Not only with the couponing and all, but I’ve also been a musician all my life, and I’ve also gone through the uber tough time of having my kids go off to college/get married. I felt so bad for you when I read this post just now! I remember feeling the exact same way. My daughter went to a college that was only an hour from home, so I still got to see her on the weekends, but it was so hard. Everytime I saw her I would hug the stuffing out of her, and then it would feel like I could breathe again…like I hadn’t since the last time I had seen her. My son and his wife live on the other side of the country, so we only get to see them once or twice a year.

One thing that has made it easier, is knowing that they have both made GREAT lives for themselves. They’re both adults, and have both made good responsible decisions in life and they’re exactly where they need to be. And you know what? Part of that is because I raised them, and I did a darn good job of it!

Yes, it gets easier…just not for a while.
