School at Home: What if…

On the difficult days of homeschooling most of us normal honest moms would say the sight of a big yellow school bus sometimes is appealing. Book bags packed, kids raring to go.
Kinda like this.
But if I sent my kids on to school we wouldn’t get to walk to the library and see these sights.
Or scour the stacks of books.
 Or check out unlimited books.
It was a good day even without a big yellow school bus.

  1. I’m genuinely happy for you, my friend. I am. 🙂 And I wish YOU could have been MY homeschool Momma.

Unfortunately, I really needed that school bus twice this week. Not all three times, but two of them.

    Love you, Marty. (((hugs)))

  2. Oh Marty–You are amazing–AMAZING!!!!! I agree with Barb too I sure wish YOU could have been MY homeschool momma!!! 🙂 You rock girlfriend! 🙂

I have to tell you this story –I go to Women of Faith every year by myself –I feel like it is a whole day away from the kids, hubby, and everyday life and reserved just for me and Jesus.

A couple of years ago one of speakers told a story about a “Merrill”–The speaker said she went through a very lonely dark time in her life and she knew God was there but she needed flesh. –someone to talk too. THrough a crazy set of circumstances God brought Merrill into her life. Merrill and her became the best of friends and they encouraged each other. In her story she encouraged us women to find a “Merrill”–

I don’t know if you are a Merrill or a really awesome Marty!!!– but I am just glad I have the internet to “talk” to you even a short comment or two on these blogs! — I have only known you for such a short time but I thank God for you and your life example.

I needed that more than I ever needed anything in my life right now. An example and Jesus knew –he just knew and it brings tears to my eyes that he really does know what we need even before we ask him–Thank yo Marty –Thank you for being such an amazing example to all of us 🙂 You are an amazing momma!

  3. Thanks for sharing with Brag Time Thursday!

  4. Found you at Finding Beauty. 🙂 Looks lik you have a fantastic library system! Our tiny town library, and even when you include the next town over, is a bit of a disappointment after spending a few years in metro areas. *sigh* And the big yellow bus called to me today for sure! Thanks for the reminder!
