I have enjoyed linking each week to a couple of photo parties, sites where you “show off” your best shot of the week. I’m certainly not to the “showing off” part, but I have enjoyed stretching myself as I learn more about photography and just play with my camera each week. These are straight out of the camera, no editing. They were my attempt at catching a bumble bee in action, but when I realized the word “tranquility” was captured through my lens it was even better. So this weekend, I leave you with the hopes of tranquil days enjoying the first moments of fall.

  1. Nothing tranquil about kids Sunday’s in this house but I shall try to hang to the sentiment anyway. Football on Sunday mornings should be banned

    • One day you will have a quiet house (we just have two teenagers left at home now) and it will be good and it will be sad. I miss the chaos of little ones at times. Sunday lunch and Sunday naps were always on the agenda! Have a blessed day!

  2. Great shots!

  3. Wow, I just love the color of the flowers. So vibrant! You’re motivating me to finally buy a better camera. Been on the “to do” list for awhile now. Capturing nature as you have in these photos is such a treat, and helps highlight the natural beauty that surrounds us. 🙂

    • Thank you, Melinda! I bought a Canon Rebel T3 camera in January and I have not regretted it for an instant! I also, however, did not take it off automatic until about 5 months later. It scared me to death. My niece helped me understand the basic settings and then it’s just been practicing. I haven’t shot with a flash since. I’m so glad you stopped by!

  4. What pretty captures- Love the contrast between the bee & the flower.

  5. Love how you where able to capture the bee!
