Spirit of America

4 pictures of Spirit of America (armed services production)

Last Friday we went to the Spirit of America production sponsored by the Department of the Army at the coliseum in our town. It was a musical, drama, re-enactment and staged production honoring our country and the armed services throughout its history. It was a free presentation designed to draw in people of all ages, both veterans and children alike. My two kids and I enjoyed it immensely. They got out of book work for the day and I got to practice with my zoom lens!

    Here from the Hop.

  2. Wow! We almost got tickets for this, now I wish we had. Thanks for the pictures, they look great.

  3. Oh, I’ve gone to this show in DC a few times; love it! I didn’t realize they performed it elsewhere. Awesome presentation.

  4. We are currently studying the revolution. I am going to see if this show ever plays in NYC!

    • I don’t know their schedule but I think the show travels to different cities each year. It is great for whatever you are studying in American history.

  5. Looks like a great field trip to me — and I am willing to bet they learned more from the field trip than they would have from bookwork!

    Thanks for linking!

  6. That looks like an amazing show! Thanks for sharing! Thanks for linking up to TGIF!
