20 amazing uses for old pallets from Marty's Musings

I was extremely excited when Hometalk recently asked me to curate a collection featuring 20 amazing wood pallet ideas. If you’ve read Marty’s Musings for very long you’ll know my husband and I love a good repurposed wood project!

These projects are creative and show amazing uses for old pallets, including my tips on decorating a pallet shelf. I give my husband all the credit because he is the builder of all things wood in our home.

Hometalk is part of the reason I’ve shared so many of our DIY projects. Several months ago, someone emailed me and invited me to share our Salvaged Window Table. I uploaded it to the Hometalk site and didn’t know until several weeks later that the post had a few thousand views!

Hometalk is the largest home & garden knowledge hub on the web. It’s fueled by the firsthand experience and  advice of hundreds of thousands of home enthusiasts and professionals. Ask the question you’re afraid to ask anywhere else or share your very own ideas and tips. Need more help? Use the search box and discover amazing, doable ideas and projects.

I have learned so much from the wonderful people who have encouraged me in my blogging endeavors this last year! One of the greatest resources for me has been a unique group of bloggers in a facebook forum called Blogtalk. With questions ranging from blogging to DIY projects to IRL meetups, I’ve found them there!

I am not compensated by Hometalk in any way. I truly love this community of DIYers and hope you’ll check out these terrific pallet ideas

Great post and great ideas! We are just getting into some pallet projects — making some outdoor patio furniture and some night tables. Let me ask you this — what is your particular connection for pallets? Cultivating relationships with local businesses? The Craiglist “free” section? We’ve had great luck so far, but we have a connection at our local Home Depot and they give them to us for free. Also, when we post about our pallet projects on our blog, do you mind if we link up to this post?

    • We have found a few pallets just by the side of the road or at a dumpster. We actually have had more luck with fence boards. I don’t have a personal connection. We’ve just picked them up and saved them until we needed them with a project. When you do post your project, you are welcome to link up to this post. Good luck!

  3. So many pallets ~ so little time. Great round up, Marty!

Thanks for sharing at Project Inspire{d} ~ pinning to my party board.

  4. I really want to try something with pallet; maybe a table. Thanks for sharing these beautiful pieces, I love the inspiration.

  5. Great ideas! Thanks so much for sharing these. Pinning this!

  6. Greetings! Quick question that’s entirely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My weblog looks weird when browsing from my iphone 4. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might
be able to resolve this problem. If you have any recommendations, please share.
    Thanks!
