Healing is In Your Hand from Marty's Musings

I have written a lot through these last years about my journey through grief.

My sister, dead at the age of 53 from a sudden heart attack.

Our oldest adopted daughter, unable to live at home during her later teen years and, sadly, estranged from us now.

Healing is In Your Hand from Marty's Musings

My dad passed away in 2009, my mom on Christmas Eve 2010 from neglect by her assisted living facility.

Difficult, life changing events that have kept me leaning on my Savior for strength and perseverance under the burdens I’ve born.

Healing is In Your Hand from Marty's Musings

When I heard “Healing is in Your Hand” by Christy Nockels it resonated in my soul and spoke to the caverns of grief and loss that have dimmed, but not disappeared, through the years.

Are you needing healing today, too?

Healing is In Your Hand from Marty's Musings

The strength to forgive an unforgivable wrong?

Has disappointment at work or home clouded your view of life?

Healing is In Your Hand from Marty's Musings

Is the physical pain more than you can endure one day longer?

Do you feel alone and unknown?

Healing is In Your Hand from Marty's Musings

I don’t understand the ways of God, but I know that “His ways are higher than our ways.” (Isaiah 55:9)

He works in ways we might not understand but His love knows no boundaries.

I hope today you will listen to this beautiful song and know there are all types of healing; physical, emotional, spiritual. Our God is the divine Healer of all things, and one day we will see him “face to face.” (I Corinthians 13:12)

As the song says, “no matter where I am, healing is in Your hands.”

Come to Him today. Let Him carry you.

No mountain, no valley, no gain or loss we know
could keep us from Your love
No sickness, no secret, no chain is strong enough
to keep us from Your love
to keep us from Your love

How high, how wide
No matter where I am, healing is in Your hands
How deep, How strong,
And now by Your grace I stand, healing is in Your hands

Our present, our future, our past is in Your hands
We’re covered by Your blood
We’re covered by Your blood

How high, How wide
no matter where I am, healing is in Your hands
How deep, How strong
And now by Your grace I stand, healing is in Your hands

In all things, we know that.
We are more than conquerors.
You keep us by your love.
You keep us by your love.

I love this song too! Thanks for sharing. Would you please pray for my sister, Doris. She is so sick, unable to take nourishment, and getting weaker each day. She needs the touch of the Healer. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing. I had not heard this song before. I really enjoyed it; it brought peace to my soul. I too have endured loss and grief; and holding onto the promises of out Savior has made it possible to go on. I have been missing my sister so much lately and really needed to hear this today.

    Hi Mary,
Sorry to hear about all of your grief. My dad died on Christmas Eve in 2006. Thankfully we serve a God who is a God of Comfort. Thanks for sharing over at The Alabaster Jar.

What a very personal story you have shared here. Many of us experience loss and walk through life with the war wounds of our experiences. However, the healing we can receive from the loving hands of God helps us to be once more lifted up.

Linked here from The Alabaster Jar. Blessings.

I love Christy Nockels music! Thanks for sharing the song and a little about your painful journey as well, Marty. I just prayed a prayer for you, to feel God’s comfort through these confusing and painful circumstances. I hope that you’ll consider swinging over to my place (Messy Marriage) and linking this post up with my blog hop, Wedded Wed. My post is on forgiveness today and I think you touch on some things that I haven’t and would be a benefit to the readers there. Beautiful photos too, by the way!

How could we bear our heartaches without our precious Savior? The covering of His blood, the healing in His hands…and yet there are times we can’t see His hand, but we know…we know we can trust His heart.

Thank you, Pamela, for taking the time to comment on my Simple Gift Sunday post. I love that you wrote we can “trust God’s heart.” That is the essence of this journey, isn’t it? To trust when we can’t see and don’t understand but know life with His presence is immeasurably sweeter than life without. Blessings to you today.
