I am never on the cutting edge of anything. Technology. Fashion. The latest gossip.
I tend to go kicking and screaming (or at least dragging my feet a bit) into the world of change.
However, it has been almost one year since I got my iphone and I can’t imagine life without it!
I still don’t have a laptop but my mac desktop with the 27″ screen is my best friend.
I also have an ipad for work when I’m out of town, as does my husband.
We are now a computer connected family, and I believe it can be a tool that keeps your family in touch. Nothing replaces face to face family moments, but with a married daughter and an engaged son in college, I still want to be part of their lives. Technology helps us be successful in that desire.
As a blogger, my job also involves staying up to date on the latest technology and social media. I may do a fabulous DIY project or amazing recipe, but if no one sees it then my blog will not grow.

I was excited to hear what Verizon had to say about the FiOS. Check out this video.
This story is a twist on an old, beloved classic. In ‘Twas the Night Before Stanley, our main character deals with the challenge of getting the perfect gadget gifts for his family. He chose tech gifts that would allow him to spend time and create memories with his family. However, while testing to make sure that everything goes off without a hitch, everything goes wrong when an inferior Internet connection gets in the way. Santa saves the day by bringing FiOS to Stanley’s home, which makes all of his gadget gifts work.
While we are not as overloaded with technology as Stanley, I now understand the importance of using technology in a way that benefits us, not drives us crazy!
I have to confess I had never heard of Verizon FiOS. (Remember when I said I wasn’t on the cutting edge?) I am a Verizon customer, but now I’ve also learned that FiOS enables entertainment that connects people during the holidays. It’s also America’s “fastest, most consistent and most reliable Internet,” according to PC Magazine. This is great to know!
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Verizon. The opinions and text are all mine.
