Pumpkin Bread with Cream Cheese Frosting

This easy pumpkin bread with cream cheese frosting is a guaranteed hit to ring in the fall season. With just a few handy ingredients it's perfect for school parties, family dinners and church potlucks.

Ingredients

Bread

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 15- oz can pumpkin
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 3.4 oz vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1 tbs pumpkin pie spice

Frosting

  • 2 1/2 oz cream cheese softened
  • 3 tbs milk
  • 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • Combine sugar, oil, eggs and pumpkin in mixing bowl and beat at high speed for 1 minute.
  • Add cake mix, pudding mix and pumpkin pie spice and beat for 2 minutes.
  • Pour into 2 greased and floured loaf pans.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until loaves test done.
  • Cool in pans.
  • Mix together cream cheese, milk, powdered sugar and vanilla. (I used a whisk.)
  • Turn bread onto a plate and drizzle with frosting.

Notes

1 cup chopped pecans can be added if desired.
