There is nothing like coming home to the aroma of soup on a cold, busy day. This slow cooker potato soup recipe is easy and ready when you are!

6potatoescubed
2carrotschopped
1onionchopped
4chicken bouillon cubes
4cupswater
1tspgarlicminced
1tbsdried parsley
salt and paper to taste
1/2tspcilantro (optional)chopped
1/3cupbutter
2 cupshalf & half
6oz.baconcooked and chopped
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker except milk and bacon.
Cook on low 10 hours or high 3-4 hours.
Stir in half & half during the last hour.
Garnish with chopped bacon.
Notes
Cilantro can be left out of this recipe, but I love the little bit of spice it gives the soup.I did not peel the potatoes but if your family prefers no skin go ahead and peel before slicing.If you don't have bouillon cubes you can substitute 4-5 cups chicken stock.
