Serves: 8

This is a favorite for guests at my parties!
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. sausage roll
  • 1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese (softened)
  • 12 slices white bread (crust removed)
  • 12 slices bacon, cut in half

Instructions
  1. Cook sausage and drain.
  2. Mix with cream cheese until spreadable.
  3. Cut each slice of bread in half (24 rectangles).
  4. Spread sausage cream cheese mix on each rectangle.
  5. Roll bread pieces up and wrap on piece of bacon around each.
  6. Secure with wooden toothpick.
  7. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Notes
If you want to make the recipe healthier use light cream cheese and wheat bread. You can probably make more than the recipe calls for by using a little less of the meat mixture and having additional bread and bacon.

  1. Debbie says:

I love anything wrapped in bacon and I haven’t seen this before. Sounds delicious!
    Debbie :)

  2. Very cool — it is kind of like faux rumaki for people who won’t eat chicken liver.

  3. Oooh, these sound good! Then again, with both bacon and sausage, what could go wrong? (Well, except for that whole arterial clogging thing, but who cares when there’s bacon and sausage involved, right?) I wanted to invite you to join my How To Tuesday link party, if you haven’t already joined . It would be wonderful to have you!
