Rustic Window Table from Marty's Musings

We are loving our new rustic window table made by my DIY hubby, and I wanted to share how it looks in our living room.

A wooden box

I used a William Mangum North Carolina book for the interior of the table. (He’s a famous NC artist.)

A wooden sign on a window

(We have since taken the rug out of the room, and I love the table even more without any distraction.)

I wanted the table to be the focal piece so I went with simplicity for the top of the table.

I was given the suggestion to change the inside of the table seasonally, but I haven’t changed the inside except to swap out for Christmas books during the holidays.

A cat sitting in a living room

You can see the pallet shelves on the wall in the background. I think they look happy together!

A room filled with furniture and a box on a table

  1. Oh I love your table, it’s beautiful. My husband wants one made from an old door. But I like this one to because it has a place for magazines. Your husband did a wonderful job. Pinning and sharing.

  3. Very creative use of an old window! It turned out great. I had an old window like that and I finally sold it in a garage sale. I could kick myself now for not keeping it! Your hubby did an awesome job.
