#2: What are your New Years Resolutions?

I don’t usually make New Year’s Resolutions mainly because there are things I need to work on all year. New Year’s Resolutions tend to be momentary goals that get thrown by the wayside when real life interrupts. But since I’ve committed to this list making project I’ll think of a few.

1. Incorporate my one little word into my every day life. My word: presence
God’s constant presence in my life and my positive presence in our home.

2. Finish my Project Life album for 2011 and start 2012. Love this project but am going to attack it in a different way this year.

3. Start making and sending out cards again. Love the ministry of a personal note and word of encouragement.

4. Learn to text faster. Seriously, my fingers are spastic. Not good for someone who took 12 years of piano!

5. Go outside more. I am such a non-outdoorsy person. Allergies notwithstanding I want to appreciate God’s creation by being outside more. (No, hubby, that doesn’t mean I’ll take over the yard work. Stop laughing hysterically.)

6. Learn how to be a better photographer (or at least take my camera off manual 🙂 I just got a Canon T3 and am excited about exploring it yet terrified because I am so unscientific/technical.

7. Pray more, worry less and give thanks without ceasing!

Did you make a resolutions list this year?

  1. Always finding more things we have in common …

I used to LOVE to make cards, and was a prolific letter writer / card sender for many years. Great goal. Thanks for the encouragement to start up again.

Had to laugh at the “text faster”. I have an iPhone … but I also have long acrylic finger nails. My kids laugh at me every time I text, as I cannot use the two-thumb-method. 🙂

Piano? I think I took 12 years, as well.

Learn how to be a better photographer? Totally one of my goals … to get my Nikon D70 off of “automatic”. I want to take a class at the community college.

Let’s encourage one another in these goals.

    Laurel
